Kunst- og designhøgskolen i Bergen / Norway
General Info
The Bergen Academy of Art and Design comprises two departments: Department of Design and Department of Fine Art. The Department of Fine Art is organised without sections. Individual student work is central, students are free to choose tutors according to their artistic priorities. The department manages a broad range of artistic manifestations, with a special focus on conceptual art, performative art, photography, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, painting and the new media. Well facilitated workshops for all relevant media are available for students at the specialised programmes. Three years bachelor programmes are offered within both departments. From the academic year 2004-2005 two masters programmes (two years) are offered, one in Fine Art and one in Design.
