KUNO intensive course "Contemporary Art, Technology and Paranormal" final event in Tallinn on 11.11.11
Contemporary Art, Technology and Paranormal
11.11.11 at Raja street 11A (Estonian Academy of Arts, Sculpture department)
exhibition / catalogue presentation / party / performance/ band / surprise DJ
Based to the KUNO intensive course at Häädemeeste Cosmonautic centre in August 2011.
The weird topic of the show raises the old and evergreen, one of the most enduring questions about the possibility of imaginary in the real world. Why are the fantasies of imaginary shared commonly as they are and could the observation of them be as well an helpful tool to the contemporary artist to detect the needs and weaknesses of the society? Could the fantasies help us understand the reality? Should the “alternative” theories be taken as the valve to steam out the tensions and fears in the everyday life, as lightning rods that function as self aid? Until which level are such fantasies safe and amusing and when would superstition become disturbing or dangerous matter? Could the conspiracy theories be a manipulation tool? All this is found out and solved now and the area between empirical demands and the need for an open ended universe is fixed, at last.
